Health Net partners with the County Employee Wellness Division to support their monthly health themes. Together, we provide tailored resources empowering employees to prioritize their well-being and cultivate a healthy workplace culture.
June – Hydration
Health Net teams up with the County Employee Wellness Division to provide resources on monthly health topics. This month, our theme is all about hydration.
It's a good idea to drink plenty of water all year long, not just when it's hot outside. Many foods like fruits and vegetables are made mostly of water. Try tasty fruit-infused water or add watermelon to a salad.

- Salmon with Spinach recipe (PDF) – High in omega-3 fatty acids, salmon reduces cortisol levels and anxiety. Grill or bake salmon fillets and pair them with vegetables like spinach which is high in magnesium, and it regulates cortisol levels and induces relaxation.*

This month, our theme is all about sleep, staying active, and showing compassion.
This month, our topics are about sleep, staying active, and showing compassion.
Sleep
Getting enough sleep is important for staying healthy. Making sure you get good sleep is considered one of the keys to living well and feeling your best. There are helpful resources listed here and include a healthy recipe and educational materials that explain how sleep affects your health. Also, there's a relaxation exercise to help you unwind, and information on insomnia, a common problem that can make it hard to get enough good-quality sleep.

Physical Activity
Staying active is part of a healthy lifestyle. It can help you get stronger, feel happier, and think more clearly. It's important to make exercise a regular thing in our day-to-day lives. There are some helpful resources included that can help us figure out how much exercise we need, simple stretches we can do at home or work, and why walking is a great way to stay active and healthy.
Compassion
Being kind to each other at work can make a big difference. It helps us feel supported and work together better. Being compassionate means understanding and caring about how others feel, which makes our workplace feel like a nicer place for everyone. The resources we've included show a simple way to be kind to yourself and others through a quick meditation.
