May – Mental Health

Health Net teams up with the County Employee Wellness Division to provide resources on monthly health topics. This month, our topic is about mental health.

Taking care of our mental health is as important as looking after our bodies. This month, we'll discover how pets can help reduce stress, learn about children's mental health, and find a healthy recipe.

April – Sleep, Staying Active & Compassion

This month, our theme is all about sleep, staying active, and showing compassion.

This month, our topics are about sleep, staying active, and showing compassion.

Getting enough sleep is important for staying healthy. Making sure you get good sleep is considered one of the keys to living well and feeling your best. There are helpful resources listed here and include a healthy recipe and educational materials that explain how sleep affects your health. Also, there's a relaxation exercise to help you unwind, and information on insomnia, a common problem that can make it hard to get enough good-quality sleep.

Physical Activity

Staying active is part of a healthy lifestyle. It can help you get stronger, feel happier, and think more clearly. It's important to make exercise a regular thing in our day-to-day lives. There are some helpful resources included that can help us figure out how much exercise we need, simple stretches we can do at home or work, and why walking is a great way to stay active and healthy.

Being kind to each other at work can make a big difference. It helps us feel supported and work together better. Being compassionate means understanding and caring about how others feel, which makes our workplace feel like a nicer place for everyone. The resources we've included show a simple way to be kind to yourself and others through a quick meditation.
